Metropolitan Golf Club approached emd:digital seeking a website that would better reflect the club’s heritage and standing, while improving usability for both members and prospective visitors.
The existing digital presence lacked clarity in content structure and did not fully capture the prestige of the club or the quality of its facilities. The goal was to create a modern, elegant platform that balanced tradition with contemporary digital expectations.
Objective
To design and develop a refined, intuitive website that communicates Metropolitan Golf Club’s legacy and exclusivity, while improving navigation, accessibility of information, and overall user experience for members and guests.
The Solution
emd:digital delivered a clean, understated design system that allows the club’s photography, history, and course details to take centre stage.
Key elements of the site include an interactive course tour, providing an engaging way to explore the layout and character of the course, alongside a carefully considered history timeline that highlights the club’s legacy and milestones. These features were supported by a clear content hierarchy, streamlined navigation, and responsive layouts to ensure a seamless experience across all devices. Subtle animations and thoughtful typography were introduced to enhance engagement without detracting from the club’s traditional character.
